Small B&B and Cafe

Bed and BreakfastNovember 14, 2016abossola

Small B&B and Cafe is a unique pet- and child-friendly bed and breakfast with an emphasis on sustainability and environmental responsibility. They have three separate rooms, each surprising and unconventional in their features, design, decor, and size. Their rooms are:

Guest Cottage

This cottage is unusually large for a bed and breakfast room – 700 square feet to be exact – and is fully handicap accessible. The king-sized bed, Murphy queen-sized bed, and kitchenette make it perfect for extended stays and families.

Tree House

Originally built by a UNC architecture professor, this corrugated steel, two-story structure includes a full bed and bathroom, and is decorated with slate and tree branch designs. There is no TV, but it does have a wireless connection.

The Woodshed

Industrial and artistic, The Woodshed features a queen-sized bed and fold down daybed. It was originally built by an architecture professor at UNC Charlotte using corrugated steel. There is no TV, but it does have a wireless connection, and an iPad is available upon request.

Small also has a popular breakfast and lunch cafe. They’re open Wednesday – Sunday, and cook farm-to-table food with local and seasonal flare.

About the Trails

The CVB created the Heart of NC Bed & Breakfast Trail in 2009, and three of the five are still operating, with two new ones joining the group. Once the county was home to more than two wineries, the CVB formed the Heart of NC Wine Trail and it included four Chatham County wineries and one in Wake County that fit well into the driving path for visitors.
